Ive heard this many times. people say yes, if you have favour you get better drops. Others say no, its all luck. I decided to ask PlayNC and this was the response

Thank you for contacting PlayNC Support. Please note that when a particular region has favor, the chance for rare items to drop neither increases or decreases. When a region wins favor, that will only affect a player's ability to enter certain zones. If you have any more questions, please contact us again and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you.

I've also heard people say that from time to time, but found out it wasn't true.

I thought that was true for the longest time..until the day I got a superior rune of Smiting prayers while Ettin farming. I didn't farm them much, but it was still the only superior rune worth keeping that ever dropped for me. And naturally I got it right before the US got favor.

Unfounded rumour.

It is bad luck if you exit GW when you've been playing for an uneven amount of hours... etc...

I think thats just a dumb rumour. How could you get bad luck from logging out?

I think it's just luck on one shiverpeak mish I found 2 gold runes and 3 purple weapons and one purple rune 0_o. We didn't even have favour.

It's all luck. You have to find a monk with purple tattoos, rub his head counterclockwise three and a half times, then spit in Orion's eye. Do this and your farming run is sure to be successful.

Favor only affects your ability to enter Underworld and Fissure Of Woe at Temple Of The Ages.

Yeah... umm... why do people keep posting responses like, "Yeah that's not true." We know it's not true, the topic was about PlayNC's confirmation that it's false. You don't need to keep repeating it. Sorry, but it's kind of annoying.

Yup, just a rumor. I live in America, and Europe is constanly gettign favor. But I still get gold drops and runes. Just based on luck and how much you farm the same place over and over.

I have had better drops when we don't have favour then when we do have it. Go figure.
